Photographs, faces and deleting things
Everything here is somebody's evening. The rules are short on purpose, and every one of them can be undone.
- How does a guest find photographs of themselves?
- They can take one selfie when they join, and anything anybody catches them in afterwards turns up on their own page. It is optional — skipping it means nothing is looked for, which is exactly what skipping it should mean.
- Can a guest change their mind about that?
- Yes, from their own page. Removing their selfie removes every match made from it. Photographs they took themselves stay theirs and are deleted separately.
- Can a guest delete something they sent?
- Yes, without asking anybody. Everything a guest added is on their own page with a way to remove it, because it was theirs before it was the album's.
- Can I take a photograph out of the album?
- Yes. A photograph you hide is gone from the album, from the guest pages, from the download and from the link that would have opened it on its own — not moved somewhere quieter. That is the only way you have of saying so, so it has to mean it everywhere.
- Who can see the photographs while the night is running?
- You, and the people in the room. An album is written as the evening happens, and a half-written one is not for strangers — even when you have set it to open for anyone with the link, that only takes effect once the night is over.
- Does anyone at Night Knows look at my photographs?
- No. Nothing is browsed, nothing is used to train anything, and nothing is sold. The processing that happens — thumbnails, the compositions in the album, matching a face to the selfie that guest chose to give — runs automatically and stays inside your event.
