The film of your night

Half a minute of the evening, cut from what actually came back. Nobody edits it and nobody has to ask for it.

What is the film?
A short vertical video of your night, usually between thirty seconds and a minute. It opens on your names and the date, moves through the evening a moment at a time with a few photographs from each, and plays the voice notes your guests recorded underneath. It is made from what came back — there is no stock footage in it and no music that was not recorded in the room.
Do I have to make it, or edit it?
Neither. It is built for you when your album is, and it appears on the album under “The night, in a minute”. There is nothing to upload, no timeline to drag, and no decision to make.
When do I get it?
At the same time as the album — when the upload window closes, ten days after the night starts. The email that tells you the album is ready is the same email the film is behind.
Why is it vertical?
Because you are going to send it to a phone, and every photograph in it was taken on one. A landscape cut would letterbox the whole thing to put black bars where the evening was.
Can I share it?
Yes — it lives on the album, so whoever can open the album can watch it. Share the album link and the film goes with it. If you have kept the album to yourself it stays with you, same as everything else on it.
Is this the same as a wedding highlight reel from a videographer?
No, and it is not trying to be. A videographer films the night with a camera and cuts it over weeks. This is made out of the photographs and voice notes your guests already sent, the morning the album is finished, at no extra cost. If you have a videographer, this is the thing that exists while you wait for them.
